Good Morning, Beautiful Souls!
I have said many times that it is okay to say ‘no’ to things that don’t bring you joy. It is important for you to take control of your time, your energy, and your emotions.
I am taking a piece of this month, NO-vember, and asking you to focus on one of these points each day for the next week:
When you look in the mirror, do you tell yourself you are a fabulous, wonderful person? Or do you look at the couple wrinkles on your forehead, or the couple pounds you’ve been meaning to lose and think, “What’s wrong with me?” Don’t let self-hate or those negative thoughts creep into your mind. Write down a list of affirmations and put them in the places where you will see them every day. Repeat them to yourself often and believe them.
Give yourself grace. We tend to be harsher with ourselves than we are with others. If you wouldn’t judge a friend for a certain reason, don’t judge yourself either.
While you need to give yourself grace, don’t use it as a crutch. You shouldn’t make excuses because you are concerned you won’t succeed at something. Have faith in yourself.
Do you want to try a new sport, a new hobby, or even a new career? Don’t pass on it because you are afraid of the unknown. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do your research. But at the end, when we are breathing our last breath, don’t say, ‘I wish I had…’ Eat the cake.
Life is all about the journey, not the destination. Keep working, keep improving, keep trying. Don’t quit – on yourself, on a joyous life. Sometimes the magic happens when you least expect it.
No negative energy.
All of these things are meant to keep you from projecting negative energy. When you have a positive light radiating from within you, others will actually be able to see it. Other people with a positive energy will be drawn to you. Keep those people close.
